Virtual green + social procurement trade fair initiative

  • Last week, we launch the Virtual Green + Social Procurement Trade Fair at The Rediscovery Centre, woohoo! See the full set of photos from the day here. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a huge success.
  • Please see attached to this email a social media animation for sharing more on your own social media channels. We’ll be promoting the fair throughout reuse month, so you can simply share our posts if that’s handiest!
  • NB. There have been some delays with carrying out final stall edits due to illness on the software developers side, edits yet to be carried out are highlighted in red here, and we have been informed they’ll be implemented this week.
  • From here on out, stall edits will be carried out on a monthly basis.

2021 CRNI Member Impact Report

  • Please see attached a draft 2021 CRNI Member Impact Report.
  • We will of course, use the facts and figures included to advocate on your behalf!
  • This document is open for review until COB Fri Oct 14th. Send your suggestions in my responding to this email.

‘Cut VAT for the Circular Economy’ Campaign

  • The results from Budget 2023 were interesting… we saw ZERO VAT being applied to newspapers. Newspapers!
  • Our next steps as an organisation is to get our facts and figures (drawn from the 2021 Impact Report) in front of the powers that be and make a case for reduced VAT for reuse, repair and recycling.
  • This week I am contacting Ministers Eamonn Ryan and Ossian Smyth to hopefully set up a meeting around the matter.
  • See attached our short campaign booklet, feel free to share widely! And let us know if you’d like to be directly involved in this csampaign.
