Repair Cafe Galway, is a volunteer led, community centred monthly repair cafe in Galway. The Cafe started in September 2025, and since then has grown from 5 volunteers to nearly 20. The aim is to build a more sustainable community by keeping items in use and skill sharing. The repair cafe is like a good neighbour, the person you can call on when you need a hand with something. The Cafe has newly added a ‘craft table’ as sometimes people like to come in for the chat and perhaps do work on their own project. A lot of local communities in Galway have become fragmented due to housing pressures and demographic changes so a sense of inclusion and community is as important to us as repairing.
