  • Last week, the government has introduced its Circular Economy Bill.  The new bill introduced has some great provisions, including;
    •  Giving the Minister the authority to impose levies on single use items, such as cups, food containers and packaging 
    •  Setting out the mechanism to set up the Circular Economy Strategy and putting the food waste prevention strategy on legislative footing
    • Giving local authorities the ability to set up CCTV at dumping sites
    • Mandating that businesses adopt a 3-bin waste collection system

ReMark Quality Mark

CRNI received funding from the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications through the Circular Economy Innovation Grant Scheme to carry our the next phase of the ReMark project.

Circular Textiles

CRNI is leading an EPA Green Enterprise project Circular Textiles, which will test the impact of three different separate collection systems for textiles and explore how we could manage the additional quantity of textiles that are collected. This project will be concluded in 2022.
