Cork Community Bikes is run by volunteers on a non-profit basis.
We opened our do-it-yourself bicycle workshop in Summer 2007 at Cork Foyer for the community to use. This is open for a public session every Saturday afternoon 2-5pm, when you can bring your bike into the workshop. In the workshop, we have a good range of tools, new and second-hand parts for you to use. We have set prices for parts, and we ask for 5 Euro per hour donation to cover the costs of running the workshop and buying tools.
Besides our weekly workshop sessions, we have monthly meetings for the management of the project.
Also some very generous people donate bikes to us, which we repair and sell. If you’re interested to know about bikes we will have to sell in future, the best way is to join our bike sale list on our website.
