The Rediscovery Centre has a paint reuse social enterprise called Rediscover Paint. Rediscover
Paint collects paint suitable for reuse from recycle centres in the Dublin region and turns it into new
paint. Creating a new circular & sustainable product from what was destined for disposal.
Rediscover Paint are delighted to offer this placement, which will provide the successful applicant
with an opportunity to develop an understanding of the circular economy and paint reusing
techniques.
The participant will assist and learn their duties with the mentorship of an experienced member of
staff.
On a day-to-day basis the successful participant will assist and learn the following:
• Creating new product through reuse of materials
• Paint & colour mixing skills
• Manual handling
• General day-to-day tasks related to running a high-quality efficient workshop.
• Stocktaking & stock management
• Basic administration work
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary.
