Speaking at COP26, Taoiseach Micheal Martin TD has committed Ireland to doubling its contribution towards developing countries tackling climate change. Ireland will contribute €225 million per year by 2025.  Read the speech here. Watch the speech here

Oxfam Ireland discusses carbon footprints and their research on carbon inequality in Ireland in their article, Carbon emissions of globe’s richest 1% set to be 30 times the 1.5 degree C limit in 2030. Right to Repair Europe reminds us that now is a good time to pause and remember that we in Europe are not taking responsibility for our consumption emissions. To learn more listen here to Professor John Barrett at the University of Leeds who discusses consumption emissions and how they’re counted on other countries’ balance sheets.
