Repair in Practice: Shared Challenges & Shared Solutions. An Online Peer Learning Series

As part of Reuse & Repair Week 2026, CRNI is hosting Repair in Practice: Shared Challenges & Shared Solutions, a three-part online peer learning series bringing together repair initiatives from across the island of Ireland. Facilitated by CRNI members The Circular Square.The series will explore key themes across community repair practice and is aimed at community repair groups, circular economy organisations, social enterprises and anyone involved in repair activities or initiatives.

Each session will also feature insights from established community repair organisations based in Scotland, sharing their experience and learning from developing repair models.

The sessions will take place online as follows:

Session 1. Building Resilient Repair Initiatives

Date: June 2nd 2-3pm
Key Speaker: Sue Briggs of The General Store Selkirk.

Session Focus: Exploring how community repair initiatives can build long-term resilience, strengthen capacity, and develop sustainable models of repair practice.

Session 2 – Positioning Repair Within the Circular Economy 

Date: June 3rd 2-3pm
Key Speaker: Lindsey Campbell: Linlithgow Community Development Trust

Session Focus: Exploring how repair initiatives can strengthen visibility, advocacy, and the role of repair within the wider circular economy.

Session 3 – Operational Realities of Community Repair 

Date: June 4th 2-3pm
Key Speaker: Jamie Cole-Hamilton of Udny Repair Cafe 

Session Focus: The practical realities of running community repair initiatives, including systems, logistics, and day-to-day delivery
