Donate your old bicycle to RecycleIT where bikes and parts are reused where possible or recycled. Recycle IT are working with a Dublin based charity and social enterpriseto share bikes, bike frames and parts so bikes can be rebuilt and sold at affordable prices.

BELFAST: Donate to or buy bicycles from East Belfast Mission through their Restores in Belfast.

DONEGAL: Bryson Recycling are collecting bicycles for the School Bikes Africa Appeal. All bikes collected will be refurbised and sent to children in Africa to help them travel to school safely. 

Mattress Recycling

NATIONWIDE: Bounce Back Recycling provides a domestic collection service in the Galway and wider area. Contact 091 760877 for a quote. 

Electrical & other recycling

DUBLIN: RecycleIT offers kerbside, door to door and organisational recycling collections in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow. In addition to TV’s, monitors, laptops and servers, appliances and toys can also be recycled. 

DUBLIN: Rehab Recycle facilitates secure donations of IT equipment to schools, charities and community groups through their Promise IT programme. Camara Education reuse technology to enhance the education of disadvantaged students around the world. Tech 2 Students bridges the digital divide for students. The campaign was developed in April 2020 by Trinity Access and Camara Ireland in response to the digital divide experienced by students in need.

BELFAST, DONEGAL: Bryson Recycling delivers high quality, efficient and cost effective recycling services including kerbside collection for over 170,000 households in Northern Ireland (see here for locations) and recycling centres in Donegal (see here for details).

Food

Do you have large, regular volumes of surplus food to donate? Partner with FoodCloud to redistribute your surplus to community and charity groups nationwide.

Diversion Green offer food waste audits, food waste prevention plans, workshops, challenges, talks to open the conversation around food waste and work with clients to educate them and to show people how to prevent food waste, make compost and how to brown bin successfully as a last resort.

Volunteer with Cork Urban Soil Project to learn about the circular economy, composting, food growing, and/or community DIY then incorporate these practices into your own household, business, and/or neighbourhood.

Too Good To Go is a food saving app that allows you to save Surprise Bags of food for 1/3 of the initial value from your favourite food places in a number of locations across Ireland (with more to come). Download the app in the Apple app store or via Google Play.
